I guess the title gives it away if you didn’t know already, but yes, it’s true, I’m pregnant!
My husband Dan and I are expecting our second child around October/November 2023, making our 3 year old daughter, Ada, a big sister!
We are over the moon about this pregnancy, and as with my last pregnancy, I want to take you on the journey with me!
Being a 2nd time mum, I’ve found I haven’t had as much time to document this pregnancy as I did with my first, so unlike last time, where I shared month-by-month pregnancy update videos, this time I am committing to just three videos – one for each trimester.
Above you’ll find my first trimester pregnancy video diary, and below is a short breakdown of my pregnancy so far.
First Trimester (Pregnancy Weeks 1-12)
Symptoms:
Tender breasts
Mild cramping (Implantation cramping I believe)
Nausea and ‘morning’ sickness – although happy to report it was not near as bad as in my first pregnancy!
Food aversions – again though, not as bad as in my first pregnancy
Slight fatigue/tiredness
Overall, not a bad first trimester!
Highlights:
Telling Ada she was going to be a big sister and seeing her instant excitement at the idea!
Our 12 week dating scan, and getting to see our baby moving about with a strong heartbeat – such a relief, as I’m sure many others understand. Even as a low risk pregnancy, I always get anxiety before a scan, wondering if we’re going to see anything ‘wrong’, or worse!
Lowlights:
Morning sickness, nausea and food aversions!
