Weight Gain
2.5kg.
Symptoms
So much morning sickness! Or rather, ‘All Day Sickness’. Nauseous all the time, with vomiting many days (Watch my vlog to hear the story of my worst weekend of my morning sickness, which resulted in me being sick in my poor Mother-in-Law’s kitchen sink in front of her – how embarrassing!). Sore, tender breasts. Intensely itchy skin. General tiredness/exhaustion.
Cravings
Packet noodles still, continuing on from Month 2.
Food Aversions
Everything – still unable to stomach even the thought of most food.
Reflections
This month was tough! Between constant morning sickness, irritating itchiness that wouldn’t go away, tiredness, and some dizziness too, it’s safe to say I wasn’t feeling great. Dan and I travelled to Romania during this month, which was amazing of course, but with me feeling under the weather it did dampen the trip a little and slow us down a bit on our travels.
An amazing highlight, on the flip side however, was having our 12 week scan! I can’t even explain how incredible it was to see our baby up on the sonographer’s viewing screen. My heart almost burst seeing my baby’s own little heart beating away. It was really at that moment that things became really REAL. Before that, I knew I was pregnant, of course, but actually seeing the baby on the screen really drove it home.
