Oh Argentina, you won me over instantly.
With the beautiful architecture, delicious food, sultry wines, and sexy tango, I think Buenos Aires is a strong competitor for the City of Love – move over, Paris.

Bucket lists all over the world have these two words on them: “Machu Picchu”
And for good reason.
One of the Wonders of the World, it’s a – excuse me – bloody incredible sight to see.

If I had a written out bucket list (I really must do that) completing a trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu would definitely be on there.
Luckily, when I was in Peru, I got to do just that.
The heart of the Inca’s agricultural setting and important ceremonial region, the Sacred Valley is not only beautiful, but an important part of Peru.
It’s incredible to walk around the valley and see the cut out farming steps along the mountainsides – these farming techniques of the Incans are still in practice and make for a great view.

Cusco, at an altitude of 3,400m, is mainly known as the gateway to the Inca Trail and other Incan sites, but it’s not only that.
Lake Titicaca is the biggest lake in South America, lying in both Peruvian and Bolivian regions.
It’s also one of the most fascinating places I’ve ever been.

At the Colca Canyon in Peru, with an altitude hitting 4800m (or 15,800ft), you will feel three things: cold, breathless, and speechless.

Being only a small blog that’s still gaining the very beginnings of momentum, it’s pretty cool to find myself popping on another travel site.
Camera and Carry On have done a blog about travel tattoos – and what do you know: My wrist tattoo is on there.
To be honest, I’m really stoked about it – it’s a great feeling to be in contact with other travel bloggers and to be featured on another site.
I love tattoos too (Obviously). I have four currently, but have already planned more in my head.
Soon I’d like to do a video and blog explaining all my tattoos and what they mean to me – if you’d like to see that, let me know!

As I was suffering from the flu mixed with altitude sickness, while my roommate was suffering from altitude sickness mixed with what would later be revealed as a lung infection, we both decided to spend our quiet afternoon in Arequipa, Peru, resting up.
We’d spent the morning with our tour group exploring some local sights of Arequipa after arrivingĀ on an early flight from Lima that morning, and decided it would be best for our bodies to lay down for a nap.
We’d barely been laid down for 15 minutes when all of a sudden:
“Wwweeeeerrrrrrrrooooooooo wwwwweeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooo!”

One thing I absolutely loved about Peru was the variety of the country.
From Amazon rainforest; to heritage sites of ruins (hello Machu Picchu); from the vast, barren desert-like land to the Colca Canyon; to the mountainous ranges; from the bare, poverty-stricken, isolated villages; to the surf-tastic waves on the coastline (Yes, that is the Pacific Ocean!); all the way to metro cities of Lima – Peru has it all.
