Mexico: What a country. Amazing food, alcohol, churches, ruins, and beaches.
I was so excited to visit this place and explore its culture.
I wasn’t disappointed – our first stop in Mexico, leaving Mexico City first up (Don’t worry, we came back) for Puebla, one of the first most important Spanish colonial cities in Mexico. Continue reading “Beautiful buildings and pretty pyramids in Puebla, Mexico”
Laying on a beach bordered on one side with bright blue ocean, and on the other by a Nature Park filled with monkeys and other wildlife going about their business, I thought to myself, “This is paradise.”
It looked like paradise, it felt like paradise: Therefore I shall always refer to Manuel Antonio as my little slice of paradise. Continue reading “Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica: The destination for the adventurous”

Rain. So much rain.

Oh, we awoke quite late two, as the sound of the rain was louder than our alarms.
Welcome to Tortuguero. Continue reading “That time we almost got stranded in Tortuguero, Costa Rica”
So I was off to the environmental heaven of Central America on Contiki’s Costa Rica Unplugged tour.
With a population of almost 5 million people, one of the most interesting things about Costa Rica is that the country has recently become 100% dependent on renewable energies – Take note, Australia!
I was set to explore the beautiful nation from coast to coast, tip to tail, starting in the capital of San Jose. Continue reading “Things don’t always go to plan – San Jose, Costa Rica”
So I went to Central and South America in October-December last year, completing three tours with Contiki – Yes another Contiki trip – These were my 4th, 5th and 6th tours with Contiki – and no, I’m not sponsored by them. Yet 😉 Continue reading “Packing for 2 Months – Carry On Only”
