Eating my way through Vienna, Austria

Food, food, food – Vienna brought me all kinds of different, wonderful tastes.

Sachertorte, Mozart Balls, schnitzel, wiener, and the most delicious burger I’ve ever had it my life – all delicious foods I chomped on down in Vienna.  Continue reading “Eating my way through Vienna, Austria”

Who doesn’t dream of taking a gondola ride in Venice?

One thing that’s been on my bucket list for a while was to ride a gondola in Venice, aka The Floating City.

While usually known as a ‘wet’ location, due to it’s many canals (hundreds of them), it was wetter than usual when we visited – it was rainy and dreary all day – but perfect to me.  Continue reading “Who doesn’t dream of taking a gondola ride in Venice?”

Rome, Italy: The other City of Love?

Rome. Roma.

Some people say Paris is the City of Love, but I reckon Rome could give it a run for its money.  Continue reading “Rome, Italy: The other City of Love?”

When you get sick on the road: Florence, Italy

It was quite unfortunate that as we arrived in the beautiful Italian city of Florence, the flu that had threatened me since Nice hit, with full force.

The result was that I didn’t see as much of Florence as I would have liked, as I was only there for two nights, and I sent the afternoon of our designated “exploring day” in bed.  Continue reading “When you get sick on the road: Florence, Italy”

French Riviera: Yes, it is that fancy

What do you think of when someone says “The French Riviera”? If your answer was pebbled beaches, glamourous people, expensive living and everything gorgeous, you’re spot on.

At least that was my experience of the south of France – a gorgeous and relaxing holiday spot for the rich and famous.  Continue reading “French Riviera: Yes, it is that fancy”

The colours of Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona – Wow.

What a wonderful place with such a life about it, beautiful food and gorgeous architecture wherever you look.

Our first night in Barcelona was spent in the city’s Gothic Quarter – which was swarming with people due to the annual La Merce Festival being on (which we had no idea about).  Continue reading “The colours of Barcelona, Spain”

Beaujolais: French countryside, chateaus and champagne

A journey through the French countryside is something you want to have a window seat for.

Ordinary hills and meadows, even the tarmac of a road, looks even more beautiful in France. Or maybe that’s just my imagination.  Continue reading “Beaujolais: French countryside, chateaus and champagne”

Paris, I have dreamt about you for years

Paris: the city of love, snails, cabaret, croissants, and Nutella crepes.

A city I have dreamt of visiting for years. And let me tell you now, it didn’t let me down. Not by a long shot.  Continue reading “Paris, I have dreamt about you for years”

Packing for Europe: Luggage

So I leave for Europe very soon for my six week trip, and I’m super excited. I was doing my test pack last week (you probably saw my ‘What’s in my carry on blog post and YouTube vid), well here’s the second part: What’s in my main luggage.  Continue reading “Packing for Europe: Luggage”

Packing for Europe: Carry on

Hi everyone!

So I leave for Europe in just over a week for my six week trip, and I’m super excited. I was doing my test pack yesterday, making sure that everything on my list fitted in my bag (and stayed under the weight limit) and I decided to make a kind of ‘what’s in my bag’/packing tips video for my new YouTube channel.
