Paris, I have dreamt about you for years

Paris: the city of love, snails, cabaret, croissants, and Nutella crepes.

A city I have dreamt of visiting for years. And let me tell you now, it didn’t let me down. Not by a long shot.

The thing is, there is just so much to do in Paris. From the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Chaps Élysées, the Lourve, and the Lock Bridge (just to name a few), you’ll never be bored on a trip to Paris.

After arriving in the late afternoon, we took a drive around the city to see as much as we could before our adventures on foot the next day before we made a stop for (real!) champagne and escargot – yes, snails. They weren’t bad. Very garlicky. I had seconds.

Then we admired the most known figure of Paris – the beautiful Eiffel Tower. As I stood looking up at the wonder, I was in love. And I’m pretty sure that the Tower loved me back, because at that very moment it lit up (Ok, so it does this every hour, but I had no idea of the time and so it was a wonderful surprise). So seeing the Eiffel Tower was everything I had hoped.

We then Ventured on foot to the Arc de Triomphe to see Paris by night. Amazing – please do it if you ever visit Paris, I promise the stair climbing is worth it.

I will say the same about the stairs of the Eiffel Tower. As I climbed it the next day in fierce cold wind and spitting rain, for not one second did I think it wasn’t worth it. And after making it to the top, I can tell you that every person who has climbed it has not lied. It is fantastic.

So Paris rocked my world. As I expected.

The Lock Bridge, Notre Dame, Monument, the Louvre and (the outside of, at least) Musee D’Orsay, were also visited in my amazing time in Paris.

A dinner at Montemarte followed by a cabaret show at The Novelle Eve made an incredible day even more spectacular.

Thank you Paris, you did good.
