I can show you the world,
Shining, shimmering, splendid,
Tell me princess, now when did you last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes,
Take you wonder by wonder….
What a magnificent world Disney takes us too – when we pop on a film, listen to a Disney song, or engross ourselves some other way in the stories of the characters of Disney.
What fun it was then, when I got the chance to indulge my inner child (Basically still 25-year-old me anyway) with a visit to Disneyland Hong Kong!
Dan and I spent two nights at Disneyland Resort, with a full day exploring Disneyland itself between.
And it was absolute magic.
Dan and I ran about like hyperactive children, going on as many rides as possible, singing our favourite Disney songs in between (Dan, don’t even try to deny this to your mates – your rendition of Be Our Guest is flawless and you really should be proud).
It was definitely one of the funnest, happiest days of my life.
One part of the Disney experience that blew me away was the Lion King Show – it was absolutely incredibly put together, thoroughly entertaining and impressive.
If you get the chance to see any of these kinds of shows at any Disneyland, I would heartily encourage you to do so.
I wasn’t sure what this “Lion King” thing was meant to be at 1.30pm, but we decided to go along anyway to check it out and Oh My Goodness I was so glad we did because it was awesome.
Of course, the nightly fireworks displays at Disneyland Parks are renowned – for good reason.
They are an experience within itself – between the light and fireworks, matched with the glorious mix of Disney favourites, its a wonderful sight to behold as a way to end your Disney day.
Don’t miss it!
While at Disneyland Hong Kong, we stayed at the Hollywood Hotel, which is one of the two (soon to be three) hotels which are part of Disneyland Resort.
I couldn’t recommend the Hollywood Hotel more – The rooms were fabulous, the staff cheerful and helpful, the food at Chef Mickey’s buffet delicious, and the cocktail bar fantastic for a relaxing night pre- or post-Disneyland park.
They even show Disney flicks. In the bar.
Yes, you can drink at a bar and watch Disney films at the same time at this place. It was the perfect date setting for Dan and I, I must say.
We were both very content with the set up.
