My time in the blissful, beachside town of Nha Trang in Vietnam is time I’ll always hold dear.
It was one of the funnest times of my life.
This is probably a more Contiki-oriented post, because the reasons Nha Trang was so fun for me was because of the activities Contiki had organised for us – but you can always find these activities in Nha Trang if you are travelling solo.
First – Mud baths. What an experience – for both the ‘fun’ element, and the ‘nourishing’ element. (It’s always good to take care of your body, right?)
Take a trip to one of the local mud baths/hot springs and have a relaxing afternoon (Would be a great experience for any couples travelling together)
Second – A day out on the water. We went out on a boat trip, where we cruised around drinking beers, stopped to snorkel and check out what’s under the beautiful blue waters near Nha Trang, enjoyed a hilarious and entertaining show put on by the boat crews, and drank some more.
We also stopped by a floating adventure centre, where we got the option to go para-sailing (I did – an exciting first for me), and jet ski, among other things. Very cool experience.
Third – Hit up the local day spas. After returning from our day boat trip, we all indulged a little and dropped by a day spa for some self-lovin’. I got myself a wonderful facial and massage – the perfect way to end a day of adventure!
Fourth – On both our evenings in Nha Trang, we ate at a beachside restaurant – I would put this down as a must for Nha Trang. It’s beautiful, atmospheric, and just simply fun.
We ate at the Sailing Club, a place I would definitely recommend. It later turns into a club, but I didn’t stay out long enough to experience that – I was a bit exhausted from all we were getting up to throughout the day!
So there you have it – Nha Trang: a place to relax, rejuvenate and, most importantly, have FUN!
Sounds like Fun!
