What a magnificent world Disney takes us too – when we pop on a film, listen to a Disney song, or engross ourselves some other way in the stories of the characters of Disney.
What fun it was then, when I got the chance to indulge my inner child (Basically still 25-year-old me anyway) with a visit to Disneyland Hong Kong!

As Macau is so easily accessible from Hong Kong, it’s often on the list of ‘things to do’ for many travellers.
I’d heard all these stories about the beautiful old buildings and structures in this city which feels like a throwback to colonial times, and so I thought I must visit too.
I’m going to be honest: I ended up feeling neither here or there on the topic.
Yes, some of the buildings in Macau were pretty, and I got to see some historic landmarks, but apart from that we just walked around in the stifling heat.
I guess if we were into Casinos and high-end shopping we might have been more taken with Macau, but I kind of left feeling like the day could have been better spent.
Hong Kong – what a place.
I have a few words to describe this city: Efficient, busy, fast-paced, and hot.
That last one can probably just be attributed to the time of year we were there (September), but I’m thinking that if you’re from a cooler country, that term is going to apply all year round for you.

As I’d explored my paternal family history in Kesh, now I was to explore my maternal family history in Carbis Bay, a gorgeous – but gloomy on the days we were there – seaside town in England’s south.

Bath was a little place of heaven on earth for me.
There was nothing particularly outstanding about the day I had there, travel wise at least, but it meant a lot to me personally.
For a day I got to wander around this absolutely gorgeous town, soaking in the history of it before soaking myself into luxurious relaxation in the afternoon – all while hand-in-hand with my man, while we were still blissfully in that soppy “honeymoon” stage.

Guinness and Viking History: Two essential parts of Dublin.
Two parts of which I focused myself on during my travel in the Irish capital.
Climbing up a castle to lean over a cavity backwards in order to kiss a dirty old stone, hoping for a gift of eloquence – sounds like a normal thing to do, doesn’t it?
At Blarney Castle, near Cork in Ireland, it is.
