My travel tattoo featured on Camera and Carry On

tattoo

Being only a small blog that’s still gaining the very beginnings of momentum, it’s pretty cool to find myself popping on another travel site.

Camera and Carry On have done a blog about travel tattoos – and what do you know: My wrist tattoo is on there.

Take a look here

To be honest, I’m really stoked about it – it’s a great feeling to be in contact with other travel bloggers and to be featured on another site.

I love tattoos too (Obviously). I have four currently, but have already planned more in my head.

Soon I’d like to do a video and blog explaining all my tattoos and what they mean to me – if you’d like to see that, let me know!

“Should we evacuate?” Town alarm wakes us up in Arequipa, Peru

Arequipa, Peru
Arequipa, Peru

As I was suffering from the flu mixed with altitude sickness, while my roommate was suffering from altitude sickness mixed with what would later be revealed as a lung infection, we both decided to spend our quiet afternoon in Arequipa, Peru, resting up.

We’d spent the morning with our tour group exploring some local sights of Arequipa after arriving on an early flight from Lima that morning, and decided it would be best for our bodies to lay down for a nap.

Colonial buildings and mind-blowing light-and-water shows in Lima, Peru

One thing I absolutely loved about Peru was the variety of the country.

Crazy VW taxi ride in Taxco, Mexico

Our destination: The state of Christ
Our destination: The state of Christ

As I climbed through the one usable door and into the worse-for-wear backseat of the ramshackle white VW beetle, I wasn’t completely sure I was doing the safest thing.

It wasn’t.

But these beat-up, no-working-seat-belted VWs were the officially taxis of Taxco, and we were desperate to get to the top of the mountainside town to see the famous Christ statue.

Things you must do in Acapulco, Mexico

Acapulco, Mexico
Acapulco, Mexico

If you’re headed to Mexico, you must visit Acapulco. If it’s not on your itinerary, it is now. Consider it done. Hands down, Acapulco was my favourite destination in Mexico. Our couple of nights there were amazing. Acapulco is kind of like the Gold Coast (Australia) of Mexico – Or the Miami (US), or Nha Trang (Vietnam) of Mexico. Yes, it’s a resort city, so it’s very touristy, but don’t let that put you off.  Continue reading “Things you must do in Acapulco, Mexico”
