Eco-Friendly Family Life
As I climbed through the one usable door and into the worse-for-wear backseat of the ramshackle white VW beetle, I wasn’t completely sure I was doing the safest thing.
It wasn’t.
But these beat-up, no-working-seat-belted VWs were the officially taxis of Taxco, and we were desperate to get to the top of the mountainside town to see the famous Christ statue.
If you’re headed to Mexico, you must visit Acapulco. If it’s not on your itinerary, it is now. Consider it done. Hands down, Acapulco was my favourite destination in Mexico. Our couple of nights there were amazing. Acapulco is kind of like the Gold Coast (Australia) of Mexico – Or the Miami (US), or Nha Trang (Vietnam) of Mexico. Laying on a beach bordered on one side with bright blue ocean, and on the other by a Nature Park filled with monkeys and other wildlife going about their business, I thought to myself, “This is paradise.”
