The Olympics has become the biggest and most revered sporting event in our world, so it’s exciting to see the place where the Olympics were born.

The ancient Olympic Games began in Olympic between the 8th Century BC and the 4th Century AD, and were men would compete (stark naked) for the glory of being crowned a winner.

Now, in the modern Olympics, over 200 countries compete in an event that sees nations come together every four years.

It’s quite a beautiful spectacle, and the story behind it makes it even more beautiful.

Greece, you will find, is basically a country of ruins. One of the oldest societies in the world, the ruins scattered around the country all have a story to tell, and thinking about how long ago those stories took place in real time will make your mind boggle.

Take it all in, learn the lessons Greek history can tell you, and enjoy the gorgeous sites on which the Greeks stand (Don’t forget your camera!).
